Calendula

Calendula officinalis

Flowers of sunshine, gorgeous aren’t they! Vibrant yellow & gold. Will marinate the orange petals in almond oil turning the almond oil a rich orange colour ready to use in balms, moisturiser & as an extra emollient in some soaps.

Petals are bagged & frozen ready to add to various soaps for colour & textural effects (eg. Orange & Calendula Soap). Also used to make water infusions for moisturisers.

Calendula has properties that make it useful for minor wounds, cuts, scrapes, chapped or chafed skin, bruises, burns, bee stings, rashes, and other minor irritations and infections of the skin.

Orange calendula petals marinated in almond oil give Orange & Calendula soap its lovely colour & texture.  fresh orange petals are ground to a paste giving Macadamia Manuka Honey Mandarin soap a more subtle orange tone.

Yellow petals are added fresh to Honeyed Tea Tree soap to add a splash of yellow to contrast with the subtle grey/green colour of the Aussie black clay.
